Meet the face
behind the posts
Hi, friends! Thank you so much for stopping by my little corner of the internet. This blog, Flourishing Grace, is a passion project for me. It's place where I can share my thoughts, as well as occasional glimpses into my daily life. On my blog, I write about topics that interest me like Bible studies, adventures with my family, marriage, motherhood, biblical womanhood, homemaking, beauty & skincare, fashion, etc. The focus of my blog, regardless of whatever topic I may be sharing on, will always be centered around biblical principles.
To me, this season of life is about embracing and flourishing in the Spirit of God. God's Word is the starting point!
Together, we'll explore how God created every woman with a specific purpose, how we can grow in the word of His grace (Acts 20:32), and be built up into His Body! Keep flourishing, friends! xo
A Little More About Me...
1.
I'm a Christian who became born-again in July of 2010 after enduring some pretty difficult situations in my life including: a toxic & co-dependent relationship, withdrawing from college, moving to a new state, and having family issues. In my grief and despair, I cried out to Jesus and He answered me with abundant life, peace, unfailing love, and joy. I was water baptized in June of 2011 and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in April of 2015. We met some of our dearest friends at a small group at our previous church. The years we spent in fellowship with these brothers & sisters in Christ made all the difference in our spiritual growth. I worked at two non-denominational churches for a collective total of 8 years before becoming a full-time Mama and homemaker.

My husband and I have been married now for over a decade! We met during a chance encounter at a very random place. On that ordinary day, I definitely didn't think I would meet the man I would marry, but very thankful that God had us both there at the right time. We were both "new" Christians. What we didn't realize is that God was working in both of our hearts at the same time even though we were states apart and hadn't met one another yet. My husband was saved & baptized in July of 2010 in South Carolina, while I was saved the same month and year in Florida. We met five months later and our first date was on a Sunday morning where we went to church and then had lunch at Five Guys. Since then, we have made Christ the center of our marriage and it grows sweeter every single year.

My husband and I waited 7 years before we conceived our little girl, Claire. We spent those early years of marriage building a spiritual, relational, and financial foundation we could build our children into. We have so many amazing memories of time spent together that really helped foster intimacy and friendship in our marriage. Some of our favorite things to do are flying in our Cessna 172 (my hubby comes from a family of recreational pilots & he got his license at 16), taking weekend trips together, exploring new places, hiking, and just enjoying each other. We can still do all of these things, but now we get to do it with our fun adventure buddy, Claire. We firmly believe that children are a gift from the Lord. Our heart is to steward this gift and cultivate a home of peace, love, and joy in the Lord.

I have many interests and passions. I love the process of writing and creating. I enjoy searching Pinterest for images to create mood boards for upcoming design projects. I love handlettering & calligraphy. Sometimes, in my free time, I might even sketch and watercolor a bit. I have dreams of creating my own stationary line, writing a children's book, creating an impactful blog, and sharing the wonderful things of God to everyone I encounter. I relish in deep Bible studies and enjoy researching with a hot cup of coffee for as long as my toddler will allow me to (hello, nap time!). I also have a passion for photography and began a photography business in 2016 that specializes in family portraits. I am a sucker for historical novels & love enjoying a good book whenever I can.
